‘Blue Dress’ casting event rejoins Bill, Monica & Paula

Posted by bluedress on October 17th, 2008

PHILADELPHIA — Greenwich Creations announces a casting event for The Blue Dress, a comedy about Bill and Monica, on October 20-23 at the Embassy Suites Hotel at 9000 Bartram Avenue in Philadelphia, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. More than fifty actors have already submited tape online, plus another 100 are expected to audition within a schedule.

The independent movie has a budget of just less than a million dollars, and is planned for release in Fall 2009. Filmed with the new Red One camera, The Blue Dress is a non-political comedy about a lonely President Bill Clinton who meets Monica, an intern who is infatuated with him (inspired by the Starr Report). The movie revolves around their secret affair from July 1995 to January 1998, during the Paula Jones lawsuit. The film ends when Matt Drudge, founder of DrudgeReport.com uses the Internet to finally scoop broadcast news of the biggest presidential scandal since Watergate.

The event will bring a cast of characters to town, the most famous being Paula Jones, of Arkansas. Ms. Jones will be in town from Saturday to Tuesday, promoting the movie and helping with auditions. Daniel “The Wig Man” Vovak, the executive producer, will also be available for interviews. Vovak, a resident of Bethesda, Maryland, has been a media favorite across the country for the past five years.
